Younger 03:40
We've gotta talk. Back when you were a boy Life was like a brand new toy Every day was new, and it was up to you To decide what to do But now the days are long, And some you wonder where they've gone Did you get that job? And get that house? Are those the things you want? There's a fire in your soul You've got some talent and some goals Do you remember them? Back when you were younger You were making numbers You would call down thunder You were like the rhythm of a heartbeat Pounding, Earth beneath you shaking You were such a mystery You were like the rhythm of a heartbeat So shake it off And live the life you're dealt It's your skin, nobody else You need to sing for just yourself And freedom will ring Just as the Angels do sing You know, they'll lift your eyes, lift your eyes, lift your eyes Beat beat beat Don't kid yourself

Girl, you're the one I've got all the proof I need and more Hot like the summer sun I've gotta pick my jaw up off the floor What did you plan to do? You're running through my brain, you're running through my veins What did you plan to do? I need your kiss right now, come on let's shout it out! You're such a chemical, you're such a chemical, you're such a chemical Rush, rush, rush, rush Girl you're the one Don't wanna change a thing about who you are I'm blown away Let's see the world and live it up like stars Buried deep in your arms, I'll say, This is the place I'll stay Forever

Electricity 05:04
Your electricity can go away now It's not a mystery, a ball and chain now Wash cold the history with heavy rain, yeah For what it means to me, I need to change now "Never again" I'll say, but there's a wolf out! The blood runs from my face, pale like a ghost, yeah Within sleepless nights, dreams become dynamite And like truth or dare, I scramble for my life This is murder. This is murder. This is murder. Your expectations now, they come from something else Your explanations how, they come from someone else Cuz you had to go, you had to go Your electricity can go away now I need some medicine and better days now Life is a tapestry, not black and white, yeah For what this means to me, I need to change now "Never again" I'll say, but there's a wolf out! The blood runs from my face, pale like a ghost, yeah You had to go

The Western Coast is calling my name And I need to see the ocean, feel the rain For reasons that I can barely explain It's become my home away from home again I love the art, the mood and the scene It instills new hope in all of my dreams My car seats five, and I'm leaving at three I'm just saying come find out just what I mean It'll push, it'll pull, it'll drive you mad! Yeah Ohhhhhh, We've got to let it roll Ohhhhhh, Down to the B.C. Coast The towns whip by, as we're killing the clock All my troubles back home, I flat-out forgot It drives me mad that nothing here compets As I scan the shopfronts on these empty streets It can make you, It can break you But nothing's ever quite the same No, nothing's ever quite the same
6.
Three Words 03:26
Won't you come near, and let your hair grow down? I get tongue tied when you're not around I watch the sunrise back in my old home town I clutch the paper where you wrote it down Three words are shaking me to my soul Cuz you said them daily, now [still] I'm on my own [And] I blame myself in the latter hours of the day So you can be on your way, you can be on your way So what's it all mean, if it never lasts? Get talking mistakes, and watch it go so fast Yeah You can be on your way
7.
I'm back again, back again, I'm on your brain but it don't feel the same, feel the same Since all those feelings came It's hard enough, hard enough, This far apart and does it tear you up, tear you up, And break your heart, girl? Cuz I for one am losing my mind, girl I get so lonely in this kind of world And now I need to see your smiling face, girl Cuz you're the only one who makes me want to dance, dance, dance I'll fold this country in half Come on, we've both done the math: You plus me equals what we oughta be This is what we oughta be I'm stuck again, stuck again Can't get you off my mind You're miles away, miles away Our heart's are side by side Hold up, let me take off my glasses Pack up my paper and plastics It's true, you heard I was crazy Do what I gotta do to call you "baby" West coast to east, go the distance Set my watch, like damn, it's my last chance I'd wait for you, just let me know I won't let you down, if you don't let me go

about

The Rush, Rush, Rush EP began as a fun experimental departure from Dan's usual pop-punk style, but soon became a passionate new musical direction. Utilizing various soft-synths, as well as traditional analog recording methods, Dan adopted a sand box mentality and began creating large sonic sounds, and rich, often overloaded mixes. The Rush, Rush, Rush EP represents the first batch of songs in a fresh, modern blend of Inide rock and synthpop. From Prince George, British Columbia, Dan McIntyre is a genre-spanning songwriter, producer and performer. He is a self-published author, and makes a living by designing kitchens. Dan has been playing guitar since he was 4 years old, and writing and recording for over well over a decade. He is always working on several projects at once and keeping his brain nice and busy by constantly challenging it with new creative ventures. He loves his family, friends, and is firmly rooted in his beliefs and general philosophy about life. Dan currently resides in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada where he is helping his folks cope with age, and working on his writing, music and design career.
